Congratulations to loick Peyron on winning his third Transat. He is now the only sailor to win this historic race three times (1992/1996/2008). He previously shared the two time record with another French sailing legend Eric Tarbaly.
Loick Finished the race arriving in Boston at 03-15-35 GMT on 24th May, 00-15-35 local time in a time of 12 days, 11 hours, 45 mins and 35 secs aboard Gitana Eighty.
This also sets a new course record for the IMOCO 60's and beat the previous mono hull record of 12 days, 15 hours, 18 mins and 8 secs set by Mike Golding in 2004.
Brit Air was just two hours behind so after a 2982mile race this is one of the closest finishes in the races history.
